Can a good guard dog be socialized as well?

Yes, the warden in my village has a weim and it gets on really well with children, cats, the elderly and other dogs of any size. I might have to point out that by warden i mean dog warden so his wiem had be VERY well trained as his owner believes his level of owner ship sets a very high standard to other dog owners. No really he told me that. Also his wiem is an extremely good guard dog. However he will not attack any one unless told to do so by his master. Hope that helped.
