Is it easier "to mine gold in the u.s. congress than in the marketplace?"?

that is what the "news" broadcaster said. lobbyist are necessary to keep the u.s. congress and their staffs informed and able to vote correctly. why blame lobbyists for just doing their jobs. just because there are 35,000 lobbyists in the Capitol, the media should be thankful. obviouisly, the senators and representatives don't understand all the technical stuff.
