as many as you want. we had a july baby and have lots of just about everything. don't worry about books on parenting...get in a mommy and me cl or la leche league cl. u can ask the hospital personnel about those. i would go with 3 wks worth of clothes in each age group. bottles... you could go with playtex and just get a couple of drop ins and extra . toys wont be necessary until thy can chase em@ about 4 months. feel free to contact me.
